Fashion Week Rankings Reveal Top Performing Brands by Media Impact
The conclusion of last month’s New York Fashion Week brought spectacular runway presentations and celebrity-filled audiences, including notable appearances like Rihanna at AWGE. Now, industry analysts have determined which fashion houses achieved the greatest influence during this season’s events.
According to Launchmetrics’ comprehensive analysis covering February 9-23, the Fall 2026 New York Fashion Week generated $249.3 million in media impact value (MIV), representing a substantial decline from the previous season’s Spring 2026 total of $408.2 million. The research examined contributions from various stakeholders including media outlets, social media influencers, and celebrity attendees to rank the top 20 fashion labels by their overall media influence.
Media organizations maintained their dominant position in driving Fashion Week coverage, representing 62% of total MIV – an increase of 2% compared to the spring season. Across major social platforms, traditional media consistently outperformed influencer content: on Instagram, media accounted for 44% versus influencers’ 25%, on TikTok the split was 46% to 30%, and YouTube showed an even wider gap at 47% to 18%.
Leading the media influence rankings was Vogue U.S. with $9.3 million MIV, while Calvin Klein secured second place at $7.3 million MIV. WWD claimed third position with $6.2 million MIV, followed by InStyle at $5.8 million MIV and Ralph Lauren rounding out the top five with $5.3 million MIV.
Despite media dominance, influencers maintained significant presence throughout the week. Priscila Escoto topped the influencer rankings with $687,000 MIV, while Love Island USA personality Leah Kateb generated $601,000 MIV and Georgina Mazzeo earned $550,000 MIV. Celebrity attendance was highlighted by Le Sserafim’s Kazuha, who achieved $3 million MIV, and Blackpink’s Jennie Kim with $1.4 million MIV.
For the second consecutive season, Calvin Klein dominated the brand rankings, securing first place with $29 million total MIV and $7.8 million owned MIV. The brand’s prominence was amplified by Ryan Murphy’s series exploring the relationship between John F. Kennedy Jr. and former Calvin Klein publicist Carolyn Bessette, sparking renewed interest in the label’s 1990s minimalist aesthetic across social media platforms.
Coach earned second place with $17.7 million total MIV, benefiting from high-profile front row attendees including Odessa A’Zion ($2.2 million MIV), Caleb McLaughlin ($1.6 million MIV), and Mckenna Grace ($652,000 MIV). The remaining top five positions went to Tory Burch ($16.8 million), Michael Kors ($15.8 million), and Carolina Herrera ($13.4 million).
A notable newcomer to the top 20 rankings was Diotima, which gained significant attention through an unexpected appearance by New York City’s First Lady Rama Duwaji, generating $1.7 million MIV. The brand’s founder Rachel Scott notably managed dual responsibilities during Fashion Week, also making her design debut for Proenza Schouler, which ranked seventh with $6.35 million MIV.
